Recovering from Moral Injury After War

Research by Veterans Administration health professionals suggests that moral injury, an ancient but unaddressed wound of war, may be a factor in the alarming rate of suicide among veterans. Soul Repair tells the stories of four war veterans from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan who reveal their experiences of moral injury and how they have learned to live with it. This book will help veterans and, their families, communities and clergy understand the impact of war on the consciences of healthy people, support the recovery of moral conscience in society, and restore veterans to civilian life.
